My name is Bob Christy, and I will be one of the new Owners of Cochran Insurance Group LLC. I was born and raised in Lawrence County and continue to reside here to date. I attended both Undergraduate and Graduate school at SIU in Carbondale, IL. I am retired from law enforcement, having worked for almost 20 years as the Chief Probation Officer for 4 counties in Southeast Illinois. I have now been a licensed insurance producer for almost 20 years. I am licensed in all 4 lines; life, health, property, and casualty. My wife, Kristi, and I have 2 sons that both live within 30 minutes of our home. We have 2 grandchildren and enjoy sending them home after they are good and spoiled.
I have always tried to remain very active in our communities. I am currently President of Red Hill CUSD#10 School Board, President of the Lawrence County Health Department Board of Directors, President of the Lawrence/Crawford Association for Exceptional Citizens Board, Board member of the Southeastern Illinois Special Education District, and Board member of the Beulah Harvest Church. When not in meetings, I enjoy hunting and shooting sports and spending time with my children and their families.
